Kennedy Vs Mold
Robert Kennedy Junior, whose views on vaccines have been decidedly controversial, has picked a new cause which should get general support. Mold.
Kennedy says his own large family has been affected by the common corrosion, which is being identified with a variety of illnesses, often respiratory. Florida’s damp climate is conducive to mold. It doesn’t help that many air conditioning systems are old and collect water, the trigger for mold.
Our own family produces witnesses to his concerns. A daughter has a mold problem affecting three of five family members. They have spent considerable money replacing parts of their roof and having their attic cleansed of mold corrosion. Still, there are rooms in the house they barely use.
Air conditioners are a natural habitat for mold. It can even invade cars, usually through the air conditioning. Mold also is found in larger buildings.
The University of Florida plans to raze two old dormitories, which have been known to make students ill.
Members of our daughter’s family can’t drive one car without breathing difficulties. So push on with your mold crusade, Mr. Kennedy.
This time you have a little company.
